A delightful illustration of Saint Anna on a maple wooden block, based on traditional Eastern Christian iconography. She was a widow who lived in the Temple, serving God through prayer and fasting. She was waiting for the Messiah. When Christ was presented in the temple 40 days after his birth, she prophesied that he would redeem the people. She raises her hand in a gesture of prayer and praise.
On the back, there is a simple, child-friendly prayer based on an Orthodox hymn to the saint.
