A delightful illustration of Saint Luke on a maple wooden block, based on traditional Eastern Christian iconography. He wears bishop's robes, and he holds a platter of surgical tools. He was bishop of Simferopol and Crimea, as well as a doctor of medicine in the 19th-20th centuries. He used his skills to heal both bodies and souls.
On the back, there is a simple, child-friendly prayer based on an Orthodox hymn to the saint.
