A delightful illustration of Saint Joseph on a maple wooden block, based on traditional Eastern Christian iconography. He was the wealthy man who gave his own tomb for Christ's burial, and for this he holds a burial shroud. He also holds a budded staff, from a tradition which took him to the British Isles as a missionary.
On the back, there is a simple, child-friendly prayer based on an Orthodox hymn to the saint.
