A delightful illustration of Saint John on a maple wooden block, based on traditional Eastern Christian iconography. He was the author of the Gospel of John, which he holds in his hand with a pen. When he was a young man, he was the most beloved disciple of Jesus. At the Cross, Jesus entrusted Saint John with the care of his mother, the Virgin Mary. For this, Saint John wears a blue robe, the traditional color of the Theotokos.
On the back, there is a simple, child-friendly prayer based on an Orthodox hymn to the saint.
