A delightful illustration of Saint Luke on a maple wooden block, based on traditional Eastern Christian iconography. He was the author of the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts, and he was also a doctor. He was close to the Virgin Mary (as he interviewed her to learn about the Annunciation and Nativity of Christ), and the colors of his robes reflect hers.
On the back, there is a simple, child-friendly prayer based on an Orthodox hymn to the saint.
